Coliving Laureles

Your Guide to Community Coliving in Laureles, Medellin for Digital Nomads

Coliving in Laureles

Laureles is the heart and soul of digital nomad life in Medellin. This bustling neighborhood has everything an adventure-seeking remote worker could want.

In Laureles, your days are filled with possibilities. Work from any of the dozens of cafes lining the tree-lined streets, like Café Revolución with its hipster vibe and artisanal coffee or check out one of the many cowork spaces.

One of the main reasons our team loves Laureles is it’s livability! Medellin has so many great neighborhoods to explore and Laureles is right in the middle of it all. This means you're close to everything happening in the city. Pop into Poblado for some great nightlife… and pop out when you’re ready for some peace and quiet.

Laureles is super walkable, bikeable, skateable and everything in between. While most of Medellin is built on hills (even mountains) Laureles is relatively flat meaning you can easily walk between places. Not to mention Laureles is full of parks and quiet streets so walking is very pleasant.

Let’s dive into some of our favorite Laureles spots so you’re ready for your trip!

Our Nomadico Laureles Guide

Work and brunch from Smash Avocaderia: This place is perfect for lunch and also offers a good environment to get some work done.

Grab lunch at INA Restaurante: If you're looking for vegan options, INA Restaurante is the place to go. They offer a menu del dia for around $6, and their food is delicious.

Grab some fresh air and head to Parque La Floresta or Jardin Botanico.

Catch a football game in Estadio Atanasio Girardot. If you do…  then make sure to ask the security guard to take you to the official ticket store inside the stadium so you avoid fake tickets!

Dance salsa at la70 "Son Havana" with locals and foreigners

Eat at Uno más uno restaurant: This unique restaurant was created out of someone's garage, and it has amazing food and great vibes. You won't be disappointed with their tasty dishes.

The Best Coworking Cafes in Laureles

Café Revolución

This hip coffee shop epitomizes the entrepreneurial spirit of Laureles.

This open air cafe is perfect to spread out your gear, and dive into your most ambitious projects while surrounded by other location-independent hustlers.

Délmuri Coffee

Get ready for the best pancakes. Pair them with  fresh roasted Colombian origin coffee and you are ready to blast out a couple of hours of work! This spot is also known for their amazing playlists. This place is good to do some work, but also to catch up with some friends on their outside patio.

Semilla Cafe Coworking

Semilla Cafe in Laureles, Medellin, is practically dedicated to digital nomads that want to work and drink great coffee.

You’ll find good wifi, lots of natural light, and friendly staff, making it a great place to work from.

Pergamino Café

Pergamino is one of everyone's favorite cafes to work from in Medellin. With multiple locations and AMAZING food... you'll stay longer than you meant to.

Their breakfast and lunch menus are both great and people usually work from here; so get ready to get work done!

Laureles Coliving: A day in the life

Coliving in Laureles means adventure is around every corner. As a digital nomad in this vibrant neighborhood, your days will be filled with discovery and new experiences.

  • Start your morning at Café Revolución, a hip coffee shop featuring single-origin Colombian coffee and the best vegan oatmeal bowl. Grab a table in the back where it is quiet and you can set up your laptop to dive into work.

  • Next, hit up a local coworking to get inspired (we recommend using your included Nomadico coworking pass)

  • In the afternoon, go for a walk through the lush and green of Laureles and to decompress. Catch a local vibe by going to watch the taxistas play chess at Primer Parque de Laureles. They have a chess board set up on a cemented pillar where Transversal 74 meets Calle 39c, right at their Taxicab stand. We guarantee you they will be playing in the afternoon and dare you to challenge them!

  • After losing at chess... time for a consolation dinner! Check out La Pampa Parrilla Argentina, an Argentinian steakhouse known for top-notch beef and an impressive wine list.

  • End your evening bar-hopping with new friends. We personally always love BBC Bogota Beer Company and make sure to try the beer "Cajica" it's a light refreshing beer with notes of caramel and honey.

Here, you'll find your tribe of fellow digital nomads and locals alike, living in one of Medellin's most enchanting neighborhoods.
